Andre Russell responded to Shah Rukh Khan’s tweet by apologizing to fans after the defeat. Renowned Bollywood actor and co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise didn’t hold back his emotions after KKR’s 10-run loss to Mumbai Indians in the 2021 Indian Premier League in Chennai on Tuesday.
Kolkata Knight Riders lost a match they largely had under control. Eoin Morgan’s men imploded when they only made one limit in the last 5 overs in pursuit of 153. KKR was capped in their odds of 20 overs to 142 for 7 when they slipped in their last 12 meetings to their 11th loss to Mumbai Indians.
Rahul Chahar collected 4 wickets for 27 runs, Kirunal Pandya only gave away 13 wickets for 1 wicket and Trent Boult collected 2 wickets in the finals when the Mumbai Indians developed high quality death bowling. KKR went from 104 for 3 to 142 for 7 in a span of 7 overs, although their fans watched with a bit of shock.
“Yes, I support this tweet [from SRK] But at the end of the day it’s the game of cricket … you’re not sure until it’s over. I think we’re still confident, we still played good cricket and I’m proud of the boys. You know, we’re definitely disappointed, but it’s not the end of the world, it’s only the second game and we’ll learn from it, ”Russell said in the post-game press conference.

“We’re going to try to make sure that whoever is in stays in and if we learn from all of these mistakes that happened tonight we will definitely do better because we have a good team. I have faith in the guys”, added Andre Russell.
