The music composer Shravan Rathod from the duo Nadeem-Shravan died on Thursday evening in SL Raheja Hospital in Mumbai of Covid-19 complications. The veteran musician was recently diagnosed with Covid-19 and has had several medical problems. He was kept on ventilatory support. Dr. Kirti Bhushan of Raheja Hospital confirmed the news, saying the cause of death was cardiomyopathy with multiple organ failure due to Covid-19. Several Bollywood celebrities used social media to pay tribute to the late composer.
SHRAVAN RATHOD IS DIING FROM COVID COMPLICATIONS
After the composer Shravan Rathod fought the virus for days at SL Raheja Hospital in Mumbai, he took his last breath on Thursday evening. He had severe heart problems and was also a diabetic. Covid-19 exacerbated the situation. His son Sanjeev Rathod was also hospitalized for Covid-19.
NADEEM IS IN DEEP PAIN AFTER SHRAVAN’S INJURY
Nadeem Saifi, with whom Shravan composed several hits, mourned the loss of his partner and dear friend. Speaking to the Bombay Times, Nadeem said, “I am in great pain when I say this, but my friend and companion, my long-time partner, are no longer there. It left such a vacuum. I spoke to his son, who was heartbroken We have been in regular contact over the past few days when Shravan complained of illness and had to be taken to hospital. Shravan’s wife and son are also unwell and are still in the hospital.
HOW BOLLYWOOD REMEMBERS SHRAVAN RATHOD
Akshay Kumar, who featured in many of the songs composed by Nadeem-Shravan, used social media to remember the late composer. He wrote: “Very saddened by the death of the music composer Shravan. Nadeem-Shravan created magic for many films in the 90s and later, including Dhadkan, who has remained legendary in my career. Deepest condolences to his family (sic).”

Adnan Sami was saddened by the death of Shravan and wrote: “Very saddened by the tragic news of the death of the legendary music composer Shravan ji (by Nadeem / Shravan). He was not only an incredible composer but also had an ever-loving soul and soul beautiful heart may he rest in peace. “

Shravan Rathod is survived by two sons, Sanjeev and Darshan. Nadeem-Shravan was one of the most popular composers of the 1990s. Her hits include Aashiqi, Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin, Saajan, Pardes, Sadak and Dil Ka Kya Kasoor. In 2000 Nadeem left India for London and the music duo lost its charm. Their last film together as a music composer was Do Knot Disturb, which was released in 2009.
