A four-month pregnant nurse in Gujarat’s Surat has emerged as a shining example of selfless commitment to work during the time of the Covid-19 crisis in India.

Nancy Ayeza Mistry was caring for the patients in a Covid-19 care center while she was quickly observing the holy month of Ramadan.

Although Nancy Ayeza Mistry knows she’s at a higher risk of becoming susceptible to the virus, she has done her job efficiently. She looks after the patients in the Atal Covid-19 center in the Althan community hall for eight to ten hours a day.

In return, she gets her blessing.

Nancy Ayeza Mistry told India Today TV: “I have a child in the womb, but my duty is important to me. By the grace of God, I have the opportunity to serve the patients in the holy month of Ramadan.”

Aside from her child’s safety, Nancy has another responsibility for her duty as a nurse at a time when India is experiencing a deadly surge in Covid-19 cases. It fulfills both tasks efficiently.

She had worked in the same Covid-19 care center during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
