Senior journalist and Aaj Tak’s star anchor Rohit Sardana dies of heart attack


Senior journalist Rohit Sardana died on April 30 in a Noida hospital. He was 41 years old.

Aaj Tak’s chief journalist Rohit Sardana passed away on Friday.

The lead journalist and Aaj Tak presenter Rohit Sardana has passed away. The 41-year-old died of cardiac arrest on Friday (April 30) while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Noida.

Rohit Sardana is survived by his wife, two daughters and his parents.

Aaj Tak-Anker, 41, had recently tested positive for Covid-19 but was active and on the way to recovery. Rohit continued to encourage his colleagues and increased the posts about Covid on Twitter until late Thursday evening.

However, his situation worsened on Thursday evening, after which he was transferred to the Metro Multispecialty Hospital in Noida. He died of a heart attack on the morning of April 30th.

Rohit, the star anchor of Aaj Tak, came from Kurukshetra in Haryana. Rohit received the NT Award and the ENBA Award for the best anchor as well as the prestigious Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Award for Hindi journalism.

In his career, which spanned a decade and a half, Rohit Sardana began as an announcer for All India Radio. He then made a name for himself by anchoring shows in ETV, Sahara Samay, Zee News, and then Aaj Tak.

Rohit Sardana was considered one of the most powerful anchors in Hindi. As the anchor of Aaj Tak’s prime-time show Dangal, Rohit hit a milestone in TV anchoring that few have achieved.

Previously, he was the anchor of a popular show on Zee News.

Rohit never shied away from asking politicians difficult questions. In fact, he often stopped speaking to the leaders of the ruling party and the opposition.

He had millions of followers on social media.

Before the news of Rohit’s death was published, it was the responsibility of the India Today Group to inform his family. The group first informed Rohit’s family of his death, after which the news was released to the public.
