Mercedes-Benz brought it to life Second generation GLA in India. Now we know that the Mercedes-Benz GLA will compete against the BMW X1 and Volvo XC40 in 2021. Let’s compare the prices of the three SUVs.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA 2021 is available in three versions (200, 220d and 220d 4MATIC) and costs between 42.10 and 46.70 rupees (from the showroom, India). The price for the BMW X1, which is also available in three versions (sDrive20i SportX, sDrive20i xLine and sDrive20d xLine), starts at 38.50 lakh and increases to 42.60 lakh (from the showroom, India). The Volvo XC40 is sold in a single T4 R design variant, which costs Rs 41.25 lakh (ex showroom, India).

The second-generation Mercedes-Benz GLA has several drive train options: 1.3-liter gasoline engine with turbocharger (163 hp maximum power and 250 Nm maximum torque), combined with a 7-speed DCT automatic and a 2.0- Liter diesel mill (190 HP maximum power and 400 Nm maximum torque) paired with an 8-speed DCT automatic.

The BMW X1 also has two powertrain options. There is a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine (192 hp maximum output and 280 Nm maximum torque) combined with a 7-speed DCT automatic, and a 2.0-liter diesel engine (190 hp maximum Power and 400 Nm maximum torque), paired with an 8-speed automatic torque converter.

The Volvo XC40 uses a 2.0 liter turbo gasoline engine that produces 190 hp maximum power and 300 Nm peak torque and is combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
