Aircraft from Delhi lands in Dominica amid possibilty of Mehul Choksi’s deportation


A plane departing from Delhi was reportedly discovered in Dominica when the fugitive Diamantaire Mehul Choksi was deported.

A plane departing from Delhi was reportedly discovered in Dominica amid the deportation possibilities of the volatile diamond Mehul Choksi.

A Qatar Executive Bombardier Global 5000 aircraft landed at Douglas Charles Airport in Dominica on May 28.

The history of the flight with tail number AE-CEE as verified by India Today suggests that the aircraft landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on May 27 at 3:12 PM IST (3:12 PM Indian time) from Doha .

According to sources, it’s still not clear if someone left Delhi to Dominica or on the plane was sent to get someone. Official confirmation from a government agency is still awaited.

According to sources, Indian authorities are looking for ways to deport fugitive diamond dealer and defendant Mehul Choksi to India after he was arrested by Dominican police for illegally entering their country.

Mehul Choksi, the suspected mastermind behind the rupee 13,500 fraud case, was missing in Antigua on May 23 and arrested by Dominican police for illegally entering the country

The court has restricted Mehul Choksi’s repatriation to any country and has been quarantined until June 2, 2021.
