“We need to work on Covid-19 management immediately,” she said.

No triumphs

To her party staff, she said, “You (TMC staff) have all worked very hard. I have only one request. Please do not have a victory procession during the pandemic. We will have a grand procession at the brigade parade ground once the pandemic is over . Let’s stand by the people. Let’s try to save lives. I am with you all. “

She said her government will “overcome fear of Covid-19” and control the increasing number of cases in the state.

Mamata demands a free vaccine for everyone

In her victory speech, Mamata Banerjee also called on the central government to provide a free Covid-19 vaccine to all people. She said she would protest if the government didn’t.

“I urge the center to distribute free Covid-19 vaccines to everyone. Otherwise, I will protest. I will start an ‘Ahimsa movement’ (nonviolent movement) for free vaccines for everyone,” she said.

“EC has worked like a BJP spokesman and will take action against SC.”

Commenting on the role of the electoral commission during the West Bengal assembly elections, Mamata Banerjee said the electoral body “worked like a BJP spokesman”.

“There is looting (by votes) going on in Nandigram. We will go to court against the EC. I urge all opposition parties to join us. Only three nominated retired officials cannot dictate and control the country,” she said.

Mamata Banerjee slammed the BJP, claiming the party played “many dirty pranks” during the election.

“We experienced a terrible situation. We faced the horror of the electoral commission,” she said.
