BJP lost Bengal as Dilip Ghosh, Kailash Vijayvargiya gave tickets to TMC’s incoming garbage: Tathagata Roy

Former governor of Meghalaya and Tripura and high-ranking Bengali BJP leader Tathagata Roy has blamed BJP leader Dilip Ghosh and the party state Kailash Vijayvargiya for the government The BJP’s defeat in the West Bengal assembly elections.

Tathagata Roy met the two heads of state and government and said their poor decisions, particularly in the selection of candidates, were responsible for the BJP’s election debacle in West Bengal.

“Kailash-Dilip-Shiv-Arvind (KDSA) foursome have dragged the names of our respected Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) and Interior Minister (Amit Shah) through the mud and sullied the name of the world’s largest political party. They sit on Agarwal Bhavan of Hastings (Election seat of Bengal BJP) and 7-star hotels have been handing out tickets for the trash arriving from the Trinamool Congress, “Tathagata Roy tweeted.

He added that now that these leaders “face abuse by Party officials,” they hope the storm is over.

Speaking to India Today TV, Tathagata Roy said the BJP’s central leadership had asked him to come to Delhi at the earliest, but that he postponed his visit after testing positive for Covid-19.

When asked for his comments on Dilip Ghosh and Kailash Vijayvargiya, he said he stood by what he tweeted.

“Extremely wrong decisions were made here, especially in the selection of candidates. It was not only the wrong selection of candidates, but also completely insensitive to the Bengali culture,” said Tathagata Roy.
