Former West Bengal Prime Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya has tested positive for Covid-19 and doctors have advised him to isolate himself at home, Ministry of Health sources confirmed.

77-year-old Bhattacharya’s wife, Mira Bhattacharya, also tested positive for the infection, after which she was admitted to a city hospital late Tuesday evening.

“Swab samples from Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, his wife and her companion were collected this morning and tested positive for the disease,” a source said Tuesday.
