Chandan Naresh Chaudhary, who is from the Kamthi area of ​​Nagpur, used to sell fruit and ice cream. He later started working as an electrician, police said.

Chaudhary also ran a nonprofit pharmacy called Om Narayana Multipurpose Society for the past five years, treating patients with Ayurvedic naturopathic medicine.

The matter came to light when someone who knew him complained about the matter to the district police.

After the police got the information, they raided Chaudhary’s pharmacy and arrested him for posing as a fake doctor.

The police also confiscated oxygen bottles, syringes and other medical equipment from his pharmacy.

Chaudhary was arrested under the Maharashtra Practitioners Act, police said.
