Kerala will not be able to start the Covid vaccination campaign for the 18-44 age group once the state has not received the vaccines it has ordered. According to sources, the state government cannot provide the center’s vaccine quota for people between the ages of 18 and 44.

According to the regulation, vaccines for people aged 18 to 44 must be procured by the state.

Kerala has set up a procurement committee to get vaccines direct from manufacturers. However, there is no clear date for the delivery of the vaccines.

Currently, the state has 3.18 lakh doses provided by the center and priority is given to those waiting for their second dose and those over 45 years of age.
