Lucknow: 28-year-old handling UP govt’s social media messaged friends before suicide

Lucknow Police have found new evidence in the alleged suicide of Parth Srivastava. Parth (28) was an employee of BECIL (Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited), a Government of India company under the Department of Information and Broadcasting.

BECIL takes care of the government of Uttar Pradesh’s social media. PTI news agency quoted a senior UP government official as saying that BECIL is doing the social media work for the state government and that it was the company’s request to decide on Parth Srivastava’s contributions.

On May 20, Parth Srivastava was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his Indira Nagar residence in Lucknow. He allegedly left a suicide note accusing two of his older colleagues of cheating and molesting him.

In a statement, the Lucknow Police Department said: “Parth Srivastava, a resident of the Vaishali enclave He ended his life at the Indiranagar Police Station on May 19 by hanging himself from a ceiling fan. On that day the father of the deceased informed the police about the unnatural death of his son. “

Following a complaint from Parth’s father, an FIR was registered against two of his colleagues under Section 306 of the IPC.

Parth Srivastava also posted a copy of the alleged suicide note on Twitter, but it was later abolished by an unknown person, Parth’s family said.

Sources in the Lucknow Police Department now say that Parth wrote to four of his friends before he died, allegedly by suicide.

“Brother i’m going”

The first of these messages was sent to his friend on May 19 at 4:50 a.m. “Brother, I’m going; you take care of yourself,” the message says. Srivastava’s friend replied to the message at 12:01 p.m., but it was already too late and his reply was unread.

Parth Srivastava loaned this special friend a sum of 3,000 rupees on May 13th this year. The friend even thanked him for this in a message that read “tnx alot bhai”.

“Please forgive me if I hurt you.”

On the day he allegedly died of suicide, Parth sent a message to another friend at 4:44 a.m. In this message, the 28-year-old wrote: “Please forgive me if there is something that could have hurt you.” The friend replied at 6:26 am and said, “What happened, brother?”

Parth replied to the friend’s message at 7:04 am with “nothing, just go”. A reply from the friend went unanswered.

That same morning at 4.56 a.m., Parth Srivastava reported another of his friends. He wrote, “Goodbye Bhai”. The friend replied at 7.43am and asked Parth what had happened and where he was going. There was no reply to this message.
