Man licks deadly slimy creature mistaking it as jellyfish, escapes death

A man escaped death after licking a ‘slimy’ creature he found on a beach, unaware that it was deadly and could have killed him.

The man, who is called Alexa_reed2 and publishes a video of himself, shows the sea creature washed ashore in front of the camera.

The creature, known as the Floating Terror, has a transparent balloon-like float and is blue in color, as well as long strands of tentacles that fall off the ground. The man mistakes it for a jellyfish, picks it up and starts playing with it.

“Look guys, a jellyfish is still here,” Times Now quoted him in the video. He says the creature is cold and said, “I’ll pick it up.”

He squeezed the creature between his fingers and went on to say, “This is what it looks like. Yes, it’s a jellyfish, look how big it is. And it’s still moving, oh my god, I’ll lick it.”

Internet users replied that the man was lucky to survive and that the poison of the pending terror or the Portuguese warrior could “cause excruciating pain for up to three days”.

A Tiktoker named Mndiaye_97 responded to the man’s post and said, “This is not a jellyfish, it is a Portuguese Man O ‘War, also known as a bluebottle, also known as floating terror. It is a type of siphonophore that one armed with is. ” Millions of explosive stabbing cells strong enough to orphan Nemo and the occasional past tense turn on a person. “

“This Man O ‘War is responsible for up to 10,000 stings a year in Australia alone, and the venom can cause excruciating pain for up to three days and leave a nasty, whip-like world to remember. But honestly, you’re in luck if that all you get is because the poison can trigger an allergic reaction that leads to throat swelling, heart problems and difficulty breathing, if you suffocate, potentially death, “they were quoted as saying.

They added, “And a fun fact, not only can you write your obituary days, tentacles that have been separated from your body contain enough poison to incapacitate you.”

“Getting stabbed by a man of war is nowhere near a death sentence. If dealt with quickly, it is mostly very viable. But while being put in a coffin by one is rare, the excruciating one that comes with it can be Cause pain you wish it wasn’t, “they said.
