Matrix Cellular Services, whose CEO was arrested in connection with the hoarding oxygen concentrator case in Delhi, has moved the Delhi Supreme Court and reclaimed the confiscated goods. Matrix Cellular CEO Gourav Khanna was arrested in Gurugram on Friday.
Police raided a location in Chhatarpur after a defendant arrested in connection with hoarding oxygen concentrators in two upscale restaurants in Khan Market found they had a warehouse.
A search was conducted and an additional 387 units of oxygen concentrators, which were sold on the black market at exorbitant prices, were salvaged from storage. The warehouse, which was in a farmhouse, was operated by the Matrix Cellular company.
Matrix Cellular Services have now moved the Delhi Supreme Court and demanded the release of the oxygen concentrators.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has asked the Delhi Police to file a status report on the case of the hoarding of oxygen concentrators. The police will file a status report on the matter on Monday.
The Delhi police said it on Friday recovered 105 oxygen concentrators arrested four people during raids on two upscale restaurants. Ninety-six oxygen concentrators were recovered from the popular Khan Chacha restaurant and nine from the City Hall restaurant, both of which are located in the Khan market area, police said.
On Thursday the The police took back 419 oxygen concentrators from a restaurant and bar in Lodhi Colony in South Delhi and arrested four men – Gaurav, Satish Sethi, Vikrant and Hitesh – for hoarding equipment and marketing it for black. During the interrogation, the defendant revealed the warehouse in Chhatarpur.
