The police have withdrawn the case against the Covid warrior Javed, who turned his car into an ambulance – equipped with an oxygen cylinder to transport Covid patients to hospitals. A case was filed against him on Saturday for violating the protocol. However, the case was withdrawn after public outrage.

Madhya Pradesh has imposed a curfew in the state due to the increase in Covid cases, and multiple corridors have been set up on the streets to ensure the smooth movement of Covid patients and ambulances, as well as others involved in emergency services.

He was out and about on Saturday when Javed was stopped by police for violating Section 144. When police found out that he did not have an emergency service ID, he was charged with Section 188.

This always happened after Javed told police that he has an ambulance with his car to transport Covid patients to hospitals.

However, shortly after the news broke, massive outrage broke out on social media. The case was then withdrawn.

A special passport is now being issued for Javed so that he does not face similar problems in the future.

WHO IS JAVED?

Javed, a motorist in Bhopal, has turned his car into an ambulance and brings patients to hospitals during the Covid-19 crisis. He offers all of these services for free.

Javed told ANI that he was motivated to help people after seeing many Covid-positive patients and their families feel helpless due to the lack of ambulances across the country. He said, “I have seen people being taken to hospitals on social media and news channels due to the lack of ambulances. So I thought about it. “

Javed told the news agency that he sold his wife’s jewelry to turn his car into an ambulance. He has arranged a disinfectant, an oxygen cylinder, a PPE (personal protective equipment) suit and some medication in his car.
