Congress chairman Rahul Gandhi set up a medical advice center on Saturday to help those battling Covid-19 at a time when the country was hit by the second wave of the deadly virus. He has also appealed to doctors to join the fight against Covid-19.

In a tweet on Saturday Rahul Gandhi wrote: “India needs to stand together and help our people. We have set up ‘Hello Doctor’, a medical advice hotline. Please give us a call +919983836838 for medical advice. “

Rahul Gandhi then appealed to doctors and medical professionals to join the fight against Covid-19 and help those in need of medical advice.

This comes at a time when India was recording on Saturday over 4 lakh fresh Covid-19 cases and over 3,500 deaths in a world record. India now has over 32 lakh active coronavirus cases in various states.

The form shared by Rahul Gandhi goes on to read, “… to seek the support of doctors to provide their expertise on-demand for Covid patients across India. In this unprecedented health crisis, the nation needs compassion, support and hope from everyone from us. If you are a doctor, please register under AICC’s Hello Doctor initiative to consult the patient. “

Congress has appealed to doctors across the country and registered on the hotline to offer Covid consultations.

Doctors can indicate their conditions, time slots for availability and days on which they can work to fight the Covid battle.
