With the postponement of the IPL 2021, the captain of India and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Virat Kohli, has started a fundraiser for the relief work of Covid-19 with Ms. Anushka Sharma.

India’s captain Virat Kohli joined Pat Cummins and Sachin Tendulkar in helping India’s Covid-19 relief work by launching a fundraising campaign for Covid-19 relief work after the Indian Premier League (IPL) was suspended . 2021.

Kohli, who led the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2021 IPL, returned midway to Mumbai after the league was suspended and began relieving those affected by Covid-19 in the country. The Indian skipper urged everyone to join his movement and help people in need as the country continues to battle the second wave of coronavirus.

“We are living at an unprecedented time in our country’s history and our nation needs us all to unite and save as many people as possible. Anushka and I are shocked to see human suffering since last year,” said Kohli.

Kohli said he and his wife tried to help as many people as possible fight the virus.

Kohli and his actress wife Anushka Sharma have also donated Rs 2 crore to the fundraising project, which will raise a total of Rs 7 crore to support the Indian fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The campaign will run for seven days and the proceeds will go to ACT Grants, the implementation partner who is committed to providing oxygen, medical workforce, vaccination awareness and telemedicine facilities throughout the pandemic and amount.
