The footage released by documentary filmmaker and UFO enthusiast Jeremy Corbell showed an unidentified flying object (UFO) disappearing into the water off California, USA. According to Jeremy Corbell, the footage was captured by the US Navy off the coast of San Diego in July 2019.
The video shows a dark spherical object seen through an infrared camera, flying over the ocean, and then disappearing into the water.
Military personnel can be heard saying “it splashed” as the object disappears. The leaked material was published by Corbell on May 15.

The US Department of Defense has confirmed that the video was recorded by military personnel.
The video is being reviewed and analyzed by the Pentagon’s Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force – a task force established in 2020 to “gain insight into the nature and origins of unidentified aerial phenomena”.
“I can confirm that the video was taken by Navy personnel and that the UAPTF included it in their ongoing investigation,” Pentagon spokeswoman Susan Gough confirmed in an email to The Debrief.

Jeremy Corbell said the UFO appeared to be “transmedia capable”. In other words, the UFO appears to be able to travel through both air and water.
“Intelligence reports state that the ‘spherical’ vehicle could not be found when it entered the water – that a submarine was used for the search – and found nothing,” said Jeremy Corbell on his website.
According to Corbell, the footage was taken on July 15, 2019 by Navy personnel aboard the USS Omaha.
In 2019, the Navy reported multiple sightings of unidentified aerial phenomena – the Pentagon’s designation for UFOs. The USS Omaha was among the ships that observed UFO sightings near the California coast.
In 2020, the Pentagon officially released three short UFO videos recorded by Navy pilots in 2004 and 2005.
