Delhi unlock 3.0: No odd-even rule for markets, restaurants to reopen on trial basis


Delhi Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced further easing of Covid-related restrictions in the city from 5 a.m. on Sunday. The CM announced the resumption of all economic activity, with the exception of some that will remain banned and some that will continue in a restricted manner.

In a press conference, CM Arvind Kejriwal said that the odd-even rule for stores in markets and shopping malls in the city will be discontinued and that all stores will be open between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. from Monday. Restaurants are allowed to open with 50 percent seating capacity.

However, CM Arvind Kejriwal said this will be done on a trial basis for a week and more stringent restrictions will be imposed as cases increase.

Delhi Unlock 3.0: Activities allowed

* In government offices, Group A officials will be 100 percent and the rest 50 percent.

* All private offices are allowed to work between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to the extent of 50 percent of their staff.

* All standalone shops are allowed to open on all days without distinguishing between essential and non-essential goods / services. However, the opening times of such shops that offer non-essential goods / services are between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

* All markets, market complexes and shopping centers are allowed to be open between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

* Restaurants are allowed up to 50 percent of the seating capacity.

* Weekly markets will also be put back into operation, but only one such market in a parish zone may operate on a day.

* A gathering of no more than 20 people is allowed at weddings and funerals.

* Delhi Metro and buses may be operated with up to 50 percent of the seat capacity

* Public transportation such as cars and e-rickshaws (up to 2 passengers) / Taxis, Taxis, Gramin Sewa and Phat Phat Sewa (up to 2 passengers) / Maxi Cab (up to 5 passengers) / RTV (up to 11 passengers) are available allowed.

* Religious places may be opened, but no visitors.

* All other activities are permitted, with the exception of those expressly prohibited. However, only essential activities are permitted in safety zones.

* No restrictions on the interstate and domestic movement of people and goods, including cross-border trade within the framework of the treaties with neighboring countries. No separate permit / e-passport is required for such movements.

* All schools, universities, educational institutions etc. remain closed. Online / distance learning should continue to be allowed and promoted.

* All social, political, athletic, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious, festival-related and other gatherings and gatherings remain restricted.

* Swimming pools (except for training athletes to participate in national and international events), stadiums, sports facilities, spas, gyms, yoga institutes, public parks and gardens will remain closed.

* Cinemas, amusement parks, water parks, banquet halls, auditoriums, meeting rooms, business-to-business (B2B) exhibitions will remain closed.
