Every party has right to do so: Uddhav Thackeray on Congress leader Nana Patole’s ‘will go solo’ comment

Days after Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole said the party would run alone in future elections, Prime Minister and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said on Saturday that the party also has the right to walk alone, but claimed that the fight alone is not based on just elections.

“Some people give the slogan to go solo. Even I say that we can go solo too. Everyone has the right to. Fighting alone should not be limited to elections,” said Thackeray without naming a name either Congress or Patole, during his address to Shiv Sena workers on the 55th anniversary of the founding of the party.

He added: “We have a federal structure. Whenever regional pride is threatened, the federal structure comes under pressure. West Bengal is an example of what ‘going solo’ means. After the elections, Bengal saw all kinds of attacks, but all represented Bengali pride. Bengal has shown an example of how to protect regional pride. “

Thackeray said that while regional pride is undoubtedly important, the nation always comes first.

“Some people have stomach aches because they have no power,” said the prime minister to his former ally BJP because of his statements on the stability of the government of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA).

Thackeray continued slamming the Saffron Party, saying no one should claim a patent on Hindutva.

“Some said that Shiv Sena made an alliance with MVA and we gave up Hindutva. Hindutva is nobody’s patent. It’s not a piece of cloth that is worn out and taken out. Balasaheb [Thackeray] said Hindutva is our breath. Nobody should worry about our Hindutva, ”he remarked.

“Some people claim I didn’t go out of the house. If I do so much work while staying home, just imagine what happens when I get out,” he added.

Thackeray praised Shiv Sena’s workers who beat up their BJP colleagues outside of Sena Bhawan and further quoted his father: “Balasaheb said if someone hits you, you should get revenge. That statement has gone viral in the past few days. . We know why it goes viral … but this is a Shiv Sainik … “
