Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised an initiative by the Uttar Pradesh government to offer a hotline facility to provide health care and legal assistance to the elderly, among other things.

He responded to a news report on Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government project Elderline, which was well received by the elderly.

“Very good initiative! @Myogiadityanath,” Modi said in a tweet.

The UP chief minister was quick to respond to the prime minister’s tweet and recognized the praise.

“It’s by following your all-encompassing mantra sabka saath, sabka vikas and sabka viswas that the state government has succeeded in providing help and emotional support to older people, ”he replied.

“On behalf of the people of the state, thank you very much for your healthy praise,” tweeted Adityanath.

The recognition of the welfare program by the yogi government follows this UP CM meeting last week with PM Modi, BJP leader JP Nadda and others after concerns about the situation in Uttar Pradesh ahead of next year’s general election.
