Gujarat assembly elections will be a straight contest between AAP and BJP: Sisodia

Delhi Deputy Prime Minister Manish Sisodia, speaking at a press conference in Surat on Sunday, said the 2022 Gujarat assembly elections will be a direct competition between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) become.

Sisodia visited Surat to welcome Mahesh Savani, a Surat-based entrepreneur and social worker, to the AAP group.

On that occasion, he spoke of his party’s great support and accused the BJP of failing on all fronts.

He said: “The BJP was in power in the state for over two decades, but has brought about no change, while AAP emerged from the people, stood by them and stands for good governance.”

He also said that Savani’s entry into his party was a sign that both the business community and citizens want a change in Gujarat.

Mahesh Savani, a renowned diamond dealer in Gujarat, promised to be a voice of the common people. He said, “The people in Gujarat are scared. You are being harassed one way or another. Therefore, they need someone who can efficiently address their problems. “

While speaking to the media on Sunday, Sisodia also blamed the BJP for the second wave of Covid-19 in the country.

The defeat of an AAP candidate in the Surat Municipal Corporation Education Committee election sparked an uproar. All city councils were charged with vandalism on the Stadtwerke building.

In this regard, the Delhi Deputy Prime Minister made some serious allegations against the BJP, saying the Surat Education Committee had arbitrarily worked with a budget of Rs 600 billion.

He also denied allegations of the AAP MLA hoarding oxygen bottles and denied the audit committee’s report.

“AAP staff” tries to set themselves on fire outside of school

A man who claimed to be an AAP employee allegedly tried to commit suicide on the campus of a school in Gujarat where Sisodia attended the party program on Sunday, police said.

The man, Chirag Dudhagara, tried to set himself on fire. However, he was rescued by police personnel present at the venue, a police officer said.

“We arrested Chirag Dudhagara and placed him in preventive detention under Section 161 of the CrPC after his attempted suicide. Police present there grabbed him before he could do anything. He was taken to the Athwalines Police Station, “said Sub-Inspector Ketan Raval.

The exact motive behind the drastic step is not known at first.
