India sends private jet to get Mehul Choksi from Dominica. What’s the price for a return trip from Delhi?


India has sent a Bombardier Global 5000 jet to the volatile businessman Mehul Choksi. pick up back from Dominica in case the courts there order his deportation to India. The plane took eight Indian officials from New Delhi to Dominica on May 27 and has been parked there since May 28.

India Today TV spoke to travel agents and people involved in charter private jet rentals to find out how much it would cost a private jet to fly eight people from New Delhi to Dominica and return within a week.

A one-week round trip from India to Dominica costs around $ 449,000 (about Rs.3.28 billion), according to an offer sent to this reporter by a private travel agency.

The flight time for a one-way trip to Dominica is approximately 17 hours. The cost includes a base price of $ 374,000 and processing fees of $ 75,000.

This 13-seater charter flight is led by two pilots and a flight attendant. Other facilities on the Bombardier Global 5000 Jet include a toilet and the aircraft has a cabin height of 1.80 m and has a luggage capacity of 300 kg per person. However, it does not offer a WiFi connection, but has in-flight entertainment, reclining seats, catering and beds.

In the case of rental, the plane makes a stopover in Madrid, which can increase the overall cost.

However, the travel agent said the cost will include handling fees at Madrid Airport as well as parking fees in Dominica.

In the case of the jet that was supposed to bring Mehul Choksi back, the plane left New Delhi on May 27 with eight government officials. It landed in Dominica on May 28th and stopped in Madrid to refuel.

It is not clear whether the Indian government hired the Qatar executive or through a third party.

The government might have got a better deal for the flight with the eight Indian officials. The price given above is the current market rate.
