A large hole in the roof of a building at Jammu Air Force Station, where two explosions took place on Sunday, indicates that Air raid with drones was part of a conspiracy Attacking helicopters, according to an initial assessment report.

On the intervening night from June 26th to 27th, two explosions within five minutes rocked the technical high-security area of the Jammu Air Force Station. Two people were slightly injured, but their lives are not in danger.

The security facility has made an initial assessment of the explosions and, based on the course of events and initial evidence, suspects that it was a drone attack. However, the Air Force has not yet commented on this.

AIMED HELICOPTER

The explosions occurred in the technical area near the hangars, which suggests that the helicopters were the targets there. The two explosions occurred at 1:40 a.m. and 1:46 a.m. near the helicopter range. While one explosive hit the top of the roof of a one-story building, the second explosive hit the ground behind the building, according to the initial report.

“A crater has formed over the one-story building. Therefore, it was concluded that the explosion was due to an air / drone attack and the likely target was a helicopter parked in the scattered parking lot, ”the assessment report reads.

The air force announced that there was no damage to equipment.

SAFETY EFFECTS

Sources suggest that while the damage caused by this attack was minimal, the alleged use of drones to drop bombs has serious implications for security in a highly sensitive area like an air force station.

Western Air Commander Air Marshal VR Chaudhari will be visiting Jammu Air Force Station shortly for a first hand assessment. His deputy and deputy of the Delhi-based Air Marshal Command Vikram Singh will also review the situation in Jammu.

While the Indian Air Force is carrying out internal evaluations, a team from the National Investigation Agency has also reached the Jammu Air Force Station.

For the past two years, gun-dropping drones have been intercepted near border areas with Pakistan.
