Karnataka: Doctor cycling home for lunch brutally attacked over 6-year-old dengue patient’s death


A 50-year-old doctor was brutally attacked by the family of a six-year-old dengue patient who died on Monday.

The doctor was brutally assaulted around 3 p.m. while cycling home for lunch. (India today)

A 50-year-old doctor was attacked by four people Monday after the death of his 6-year-old dengue patient.

A relative of the underage boy and three others brutally assaulted the doctor around 3 p.m. while he was cycling home for lunch.

Dr. Deepak CE treated the minor for dengue at Basaveshwara Hospital in Tarikere, Karnataka. After the boy developed complications, he was transferred to Shivamogga. He later died there.

Dr. Deepak, who is now in a stable condition, is treated in Shivamogga.

The four people were arrested within 18 hours of the incident.
