In Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, a man was arrested for hiding his religious identity, marrying a woman and later forcing his wife to convert. He is also said to have raped the woman’s daughter.

The incident came to light when the 35-year-old woman, who lives in a village below Gudamba Police Station, told police that a man named Imran Khan, who is from Kanpur, had forged his identity and introduced himself as Sanjay Chauhan.

The divorced woman had a minor girl from her previous marriage. A few days after her marriage to the defendant, the woman claimed that Imran forced her to convert.
