Spears, who has not appeared in public since late 2018 and is under a court-ordered restoration, made the statement in a video post on her Instagram page answering three questions she believed her fans had asked were.
“Am I ready to take the stage again? Will I ever take the stage again,” said the 39-year-old Spears in the video released on Thursday.
“I have no idea. I’m having fun right now, I’m in a transition in my life and having fun. So,” she said.
Her comments follow repeated requests from fans to reassure themselves that amid growing conspiracy theories, she is fine, that she is being held against her will and sending cryptic help messages through her prolific Instagram posts.
They also come a week ahead of their plans to speak in the Los Angeles court that oversees the conservatory, which has been managing their personal and business affairs since their mental health breakdown in 2008.
Spears didn’t talk about the Conservatory on Thursday but she did answer two other questions she thought fans had asked.
One was about her favorite business trip (to Italy, where she stayed with designer Donatella Versace.) The other was about her shoe size (a size 7.)
Spears most recently appeared in public at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, at the end of their “Piece of Me” world tour in October 2018.
