Police in the Bhilwara district of Rajasthan have arrested 15 people who were in the case in which a Dalit youth was mercilessly beaten up and subjected to inhumane torture on suspicion of being a goat thief.

Police took action after a video of the incident went viral on social media.

The incident concerns the Mandalgarh Police Station in Bhilwara District, where a person’s goat was stolen a few days ago.

The Dalit youth was accused of stealing the goat and was handcuffed to a tree in the Mandalgarh area of ​​Bhilwara District. Allegedly he was first beaten up by some villagers at a Chauraha (intersection). They later tied him to a tree and hit him again with sticks.

In the video, the youngster can be heard screaming in pain and repeatedly saying that he did not steal the goat.

The perpetrators also threatened to throw him on the train tracks.

Initially, two defendants in the case were identified as Babu Lal Teli and Bardichand Barhet. The police had registered a case against her.
