A series of flash floods and downpours has claimed 22 lives in parts of the country on Wednesday. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams are on duty to conduct rescue operations and assess the damage.
In Maharashtra it is Rainfall death toll climbed to 213. In Raigad, one of the worst affected districts, 95 of the reported fatalities were to mourn. Other counties suffering from massive landslides are: Satara and Ratnagiriwhile floods have claimed in claimed human lives Kolhapur and Sangli.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) also has one ‘orange alarm’ for the state capital, warning of incessant rains. An “orange alarm” accompanies a forecast of extremely bad weather and a possible interruption of commuting due to waterlogging and power outages.

Cloudbursts in J&K, Ladakh: 8 dead, 17 missing

Affected by downpours in Ladakh Sangra and Khangral Kargil areas in Ladakh, nearly a dozen houses, several bridges and even a mini hydropower project damaged. Damage reports also come from Khangral village on the national road Srinagar-Leh.
Heavy rain lashes Delhi, Haryana, Punjab

IMD warns for South Bengal, Uttarakhand

Several landslides triggered by heavy rains have the Gangotri and Yamunotri national roads at several points. In addition, up to 20 connecting roads are closed due to landslides.
