Former Himachal Pradesh CM Virbhadra Singh passes away


The former Prime Minister of Himachal Pradesh and high-ranking Congress Leader Virbhadra Singh died in Shimla in the early hours of Thursday after a long illness.

The former Prime Minister of Himachal Pradesh and high-ranking Congress Leader Virbhadra Singh died in Shimla in the early hours of Thursday after a long illness.

“Former CM Virbhadra Singh ji died here around 4 a.m. in the Indira Gandhi Medical School hospital of multiple organ failure,” said Dr.

Singh, 87, previously suffered from coronavirus and was admitted to Max Hospital on April 13.

After he recovered and was discharged from the hospital, his health deteriorated and he was admitted to the IGMC a few days ago.

He has been on ventilators for the past two days, sources close to him said.

Singh was Prime Minister of Himachal Pradesh six times.
