Midst Speculation about a possible change in leadership In the Karnataka BJP, Prime Minister BS Yediyurappa took to Twitter Wednesday evening to urge followers not to indulge in “protests and indiscipline that are disrespectful and embarrassing for the party”.

This came just hours after members of the Veerashaiva Lingayat organization protested against the BJP high command in the Gulbarga district of Karnataka over rumors of the replacement of Yediyurappa.

The Prime Minister continued: “Your good will should not exceed the limits of discipline. The party is like a mother to me and its disregard will cause me pain. I believe that my true well-wishers will understand and respond to my feelings. “

He said he was “privileged to be a loyal BJP worker” and that it was his “highest honor to serve the party with the highest ethical and behavioral standards.” Yediyurappa urged his followers to act in accordance with “party ethics”.

Even though some sections expressed their support for the incumbent CM, he continued to receive criticism from other quarters. BJP member of Legislative Council AH Vishwanath, who also attacked Yediyurappa in the past, said the prime minister had to “resign in the interests of the administration and the party”.

Vishwanath also raised allegations of corruption and nepotism against Yediyurappa, telling him not to forget that the BJP did not come to power until after Congress – Janata Dal (secular) leaders like himself jumped overboard to join the party.

Vishwanath attacked the Lingayat seers for standing behind the prime minister and “putting pressure” on the high command of the BJP. He said, “It is written in the Vidhan Soudha that the work of government is God’s work.
