India recorded 41,157 Covid cases and 518 deaths in the past 24 hours on Sunday, according to the Union Ministry of Health.
A total of 42,004 patients recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing the total recovery to 3,02,69,796 across the country.
TOP DEVELOPMENTS
- The five states with the highest recorded cases are Kerala with 16,148 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 8,172 cases, Andhra Pradesh with 2,672 cases, Tamil Nadu with 2,205 cases and Odisha with 2,182 cases.
- Of the new cases, 76.25 percent are reported from these five states, with Kerala alone responsible for 39.24 percent.
- 518 deaths have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours.
- Most of the casualties were reported in Maharashtra with 124 deaths, followed by Kerala with 114 deaths.
- India’s recovery rate is now 97.31 percent.
- India’s active case number is 4,22,660. Active cases decreased by 1,365 in the past 24 hours.
- India has administered a total of 51.01.567 doses in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of doses administered to 40.49.31.715.
- A total of 19,36,709 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
