Basavaraj Bommai will take the oath as Prime Minister of Karnataka at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
India Todays words about who would become the next prime minister of Karnataka have come true, said the state’s prime minister-designate, Basavaraj S. Bommai. In conversation with India Today TV shortly after the BJP legislative party elected him chairman, Basavaraj Bommai said, “Your (India Today) words have come true.”
In his new role, he said there are many responsibilities and challenges ahead of us.
“I have the competent guidance of the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Interior Minister Amit Shah and our beloved BS Yediyurappa ji,” he said.

When India Today TV asked Basavaraj Bommai before the legislature meeting if he was the top candidate for prime minister, he said, “India Today is a credible channel. We’ll do it if their prediction is true or false. Meeting is at 7pm. We’ll know (after). “

Meanwhile, in response to news of his father’s appointment as the next prime minister, Bharath Bommai said, “We didn’t know my father would be the prime minister. We will celebrate that. My mother will prepare some of our favorite foods. We have a lot of responsibility now. “
Basavaraj Bommai was interior minister of the BS Yediyurappa government and was one of the top candidates for the post of prime minister.
Just like the outgoing Prime Minister BS Yediyurappa, who resigned on Monday, the new Prime Minister also comes from the politically influential Lingayat community.
He belongs to the Sadara Lingayat community and is a close confidante of BS Yediyurappa. His father SR Bommai also served as the Prime Minister of Karnataka.
Basavaraj Bommai will take his oath as Prime Minister of Karnataka on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Raj Bhawan.
