Pakistan President accuses India of carrying out blast near Hafiz Saeed’s home in Lahore


Pakistani President Arif Alvi has accused India of supporting the perpetrators behind the June 23 bomb explosion near the home of Jamaat ud Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed.

“India is using Afghan soil for terrorism in Pakistan by providing training and funding for militants,” the Pakistani president told a newspaper This refers to the Lahore explosion that killed four people and injured over a dozen.

It came after Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan alleged that the “planning and funding of the attack had links to Indian support for terrorism against Pakistan”.

However, Imran Khan did not mention Hafiz Saeed in his tweets.

Pakistan’s national security adviser Moeed Yusuf had previously made similar allegations, alleging an investigation found that the explosives were organized by an Indian intelligence officer.

In a press conference, Moeed Yousuf said the person is an Indian citizen who worked for R&AW (Research and Analysis Wing). He did not name the alleged mastermind.

“Through the forensic analysis, electronic devices recovered from these terrorists, we have identified the main mastermind and handlers of this terrorist attack. And we have no doubt to tell you that the main mastermind is owned by RAW and lives in India. ” and is an Indian citizen, “said Moeed Yousuf.

What happened in Lahore?

Four people, including one child, were killed and 14 injured in a bomb attack in a residential area of ​​Lahore on June 23.

Among the wounded in the massive explosion were some police officers manning a checkpoint next to the Mumbai home that mastermind Hafiz Saeed is attacking. A spokesman told Reuters that Saeed was not home at the time of the explosion.

Hafiz Saeed was sentenced to 10 years in prison in November after convicting two counts of terrorist financing.
