In what may seem like a thriller film, two sisters allegedly mentally ill were played with dolls near their mother’s bloodied corpse in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu. They later confessed to killing their mother.

The deceased was identified because Usha was staying at the Nagar KTC in Palayamkottai with her two daughters in their twenties after her husband left them.

Usha made a living by tutoring school children.

On Tuesday, neighbors felt something was wrong after Usha hadn’t left her house since that morning and found that the windows were closed. They were shocked when one of the sisters came out and said her mother was dead.

Neighbors immediately alerted the Nellai police, who reached the spot and found Usha lying on a bed in blood-soaked clothes and the daughters sitting next to her and playing with dolls.

After much persuasion, the sisters opened the door for the police and came outside. Her clothes were soaked in blood too.

However, the sisters were unwilling to speak. The police then informed the sisters that they would have burgers after they were put in the police vehicle.

Usha’s body was then sent for an autopsy.

The police were amazed to see that Usha’s death had no effect on the sisters. Police said a sister was seen feeding another cookie.

The sisters were then taken to a government medical school where one of them reportedly confessed to killing her mother by beating her with a stick and stabbing her to death.

However, the police decided not to record her testimony until the sisters had undergone a psychological examination and necessary treatment.
