A group of opposition leaders, led by Rahul Gandhi, joined the farmers’ protest in Jantar Mantar in Delhi, where they have been camping for weeks to further intensify agitation against agricultural laws.
At the Jantar Mantar protest, Rahul Gandhi said: “Today all opposition parties have gathered here to expand their support against the ‘Kala Kanoon’. We want a discussion about Pegasus, but they won’t allow it. Narendra Modi intercepted every Indian’s phone. “
Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury were also accompanied by Shiv Senas Sanjay Raut and RJD leader Manoj Kumar Jha. TMC, BSP and AAP refrained from participating in the opposition protest against the agricultural laws.

Before the march to Jantar Mantar, leader of 14 opposition parties met in parliament House on Friday at 10 a.m. where they decided to support the farmers’ agitation.
The leaders left Parliament on a bus at 12.30 p.m. and joined the Kisan Sansad in Jantar Mantar, where farmers are holding a parallel parliamentary session to protest the ongoing monsoon session.
Leaders from several parties including Congress, DMK, TMC, NCP, Shiv Sena, RJD, SP, CPIM, AAP, CPI, IUML, RSP, NC and LJD attended the opposition rally before the march. The opposition leaders also discussed their session strategy in both houses of parliament during the meeting.
