A Pakistani bomber from the Haqqani network was found after the Suicide bombings outside Kabul airport and Baron Hotel, which killed over 100 people Thursday, including 13 US soldiers, a report said.
According to CNN News18 reportSources said the Taliban were aware of the link between the Haqqani network and Pakistan in the double explosions at Kabul airport and that a third explosion was planned at the Turkmen embassy.
However, two people were arrested before the said explosion could take place, the report quoted sources as saying.

The sources added that the interrogation revealed that both detainees were Pakistani and that they are still in Taliban custody.
While two more explosions reportedly took place in central Kabul following the airport explosions, there was no official confirmation of this.
Explosions at Kabul Airport

IS takes responsibility
Hours after the double explosions outside Kabul airport were reported, the Afghan affiliate of the Islamic State – ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K) – claimed responsibility for the attack.
A suicide bomber from the Islamist militant group “managed to reach a large gathering of translators and collaborators from the American army in the ‘Baran Camp’ near Kabul airport and detonate his explosive belt among them, killing around 72 people and more than 143 others were injured, including Taliban fighters, “the team said.

The IS statement also stated that the bomber bypassed US security measures and that the target camp was where US forces collected papers for those who worked with the military. No second suicide bomber or gunman was mentioned in the statement.
The extremist IS group has fought against the Taliban, which it considers treasonable for agreeing to a peace deal with the US.
Taliban condemn attack, US says warned of ISIS-led attacks
The Taliban “condemn” the twin explosions at Kabul airport, which killed at least 60 people and injured dozens, and said the US had been warned of a possible terrorist attack by the Islamic State (IS) group.
The Taliban described the explosions in front of Kabul airport as a “terrorist act”.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the group “strongly condemned” the attack outside Kabul airport, adding that it took place in an area controlled by US forces.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the group had provided Americans with information about a possible terrorist attack by an Afghan branch of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as the Islamic States in Iraq and Syria) [ISIS] and Daesh) – ISIS-Khorasan.
Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen said: “We strongly condemn this gruesome incident and will take every step to bring the guilty to justice.”
