Delhi police have arrested two defendants, including a youth in connection with a murder in the Mangolpuri area. The victim was allegedly murdered for calling the ex-girlfriend of one of the defendants.

Eyewitnesses told police that the 23-year-old victim was attacked and murdered by the two defendants in the park. The police found that both of them were permanent residents of Kanpur in UP. A team was immediately sent to Kanpur to meet with the father of one of the defendants. The defendant’s father alleged the duo did not come to Kanpur.

The police team then went to their relatives’ homes in Kanpur and Fatehpur to search for the accused.

Through technical surveillance and location tracking, the police found that the defendants were being treated in a hospital in Delhi after the crime, after which they fled to Delhi to avoid arrest.

Their presence in Uttar Pradesh was confirmed by one of the relatives who said they had asked for financial help from UP in Fatehpur.

After a long chase through Agra, Kanpur, Fatehpur, Lucknow and other locations in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, the team finally received precise information from UP’s Barabanki that the defendant had boarded a bus to Delhi.

The hunt for the bus began again and various teams were tracked down to arrest the two.

After searching various locations, scanning footage in 170 CCTV cameras and examining 230 people, the police finally arrested the defendant at Anand Vihar’s bus stand on August 10.

However, after the victim did not stop calling the girl, the defendant allegedly killed him with a knife he brought from an e-commerce store.
