He was 89 years old and was admitted to the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) in critical condition in the intensive care unit (ICU) on July 4.

After CM Yogi Adityanath received the news of Kalyan Singh’s deteriorating health, he canceled his visit to Gorakhpur and reached PGI. This was the second time in 24 hours that CM Yogi learned of the former Prime Minister’s welfare.
