Ashraf Ghani broke his silence in a video message, the first since he stepped down as President of Afghanistan and fled Kabul earlier this week. The statement came hours after the United Arab Emirates (UAE) confirmed that they had taken in Ghani and his family on “humanitarian grounds”.
