August 5th will go down in history as it was on that day two years ago that Article 370 was repealed in Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
The statement came during PM Modi’s interaction with beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana in Uttar Pradesh via video conference
PM Modi added, “On that day last year, the first step in building the Ram Temple in Ayodhya was taken. Today the construction of a large Ram temple is in progress. “
On August 5, 2019, the special status of Jammu and Kashmir was lifted and the state was divided into two union territories.
Today also marks a year in which PM Modi starts the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
