Mumbai Police asked me to name Raj Kundra, Ekta Kapoor in porn films case: Gehana Vasisth

Actor Gehana Vasisth aka Vandana Tiwari facing in three FIRs the racket case for porn films, has claimed that Mumbai police asked them in February to name Raj Kundra and Ekta Kapoor in their testimony. However, she refused.

In an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Gehana Vasisth also alleged that the Mumbai police charged Rs 15 lakh from her in order not to arrest her. “The police said they would not arrest me if I pay them the money.”

Later, she was arrested and remained imprisoned for almost four months. Gehana Vasisth released himself on bail in the two FIRs filed against her at the time. The third FIR was filed by the criminal investigation department earlier this week.

In the interview, Gehana Vasisth accepted that she had starred in some “bold videos” made for Raj Kundra’s mobile app “HotShots” but claimed that they were not porn. This subscriber controlled app is under the scanner as police claim Raj Kundra used it to post and distribute porn movies.

“I didn’t pay the police any money because I thought I had done nothing wrong. Videos I’ve been in was fat content and not porn. So I claimed that I and Raj Kundra didn’t do anything wrong, “said Gehana Vasistth.
She also alleged that the police warned her that there would be “repercussions” if she refused to obey them.

“I didn’t move and spent months in prison. I’m talking about it now. I didn’t want to make these things public, but the police made me do it.”

When asked why she had not shown up for criminal interrogation lately, Gehana Vasisth said she did not show up because she feared that some new departments would be added against her.

I did not appear before them because I feared they would arrest me. They filed a new case against me and made me a defendant, “she said.

Meanwhile, Gehana Vashist turned to a local court in Mumbai on Friday and filed a preliminary bail demand.

Her lawyer, Sunil Kumar, said Mumbai police summoned her last week to record her testimony as a “witness”. She was called in to face Raj Kundra. On July 27, Mumbai Police registered a new FIR against them and others.

“The Mumbai police should first decide whether Gehana Vasisth is a defendant or a witness. However, since we received a notice under Section 41A of the CrPC, we have filed a preliminary bail request, ”said Sunil Kumar.
