A nine-year-old girl from Delhi was allegedly raped, murdered and forcibly cremated by the defendants, who informed her parents that the girl was electrocuted.
The defendant had also asked the parents not to inform the police, as calling in the police would only make matters more difficult. The incident took place on Sunday in the Nangal village area of Delhi.

1) Arvind Kejriwal calls for the death penalty for those guilty: Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal said two days after the nine-year-old girl was raped, murdered and forcibly cremated in Delhi called for the death penalty for the guilty. “The rape and murder of the 9-year-old girl in Delhi is very shameful. It is very important to strengthen the law and order in Delhi. The guilty should be sentenced to death,” tweeted Arvind Kejriwal. 2) Priyanka Gandhi criticizes Amit Shah: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has attacked the Union’s interior minister, Amit Shah, because of the legal and regulatory situation in Delhi. 3) The Delhi Commission for Women sends a notice to the Delhi Police: Delhi Women’s Commission chairman Swati Maliwal issued a subpoena to Delhi police stating that the commission had opened an investigation into the death of the 9-year-old girl. The commission has summoned the Southwest District Deputy Police Commissioner for August 5th at 2 p.m. “If you fail to comply with this order without a lawful apology, you will face the statutory consequences of not showing up,” the subpoena read.

4) Student bodies, activists demand quick justice: In the old village of Nangal in southwest Delhi, various student organizations and activists protested the alleged rape and murder of the nine-year-old girl and demanded quick justice for the victim. The Student Union of India (SFI) demonstrated together with Dalit Shoshan Mukti Manch and the All India Democratic Women Association in Jantar Mantar. The All India Students’ Association (AISA), which is supported on the left, also protested in Jantar Mantar.
5) An all-female TMC delegation meets the victim’s family: An all-women delegation from the Trinamool Congress met the family members of the nine-year-old girl on Wednesday. who died after alleged sexual assault and assured them of the party’s support in their struggle for justice. The party’s MPs raised the issue in both houses of parliament and displayed posters. 9) Arvind Kejriwal announces compensation: The Prime Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, has announced Rs 10 lakh compensation for the girl’s family. “Our girl cannot come back. The injustice that has been done to the family is regrettable and cannot be compensated, but the government will give them Rs 10 lakh and order a judicial investigation into the matter,” he told reporters after speaking the family had met.
10) Opposition remains silent about crimes in Congress-led states: Anurag Thakur: Union Minister Anurag Thakur questioned Rahul Gandhi’s “silence” on crimes in Congress-ruled states on Wednesday after the opposition leader met the parents of the nine-year-old girl who was forcibly cremated after being raped by the defendants. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur responded to a question about Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the victim’s family at a cabinet meeting. Thakur refused to comment on “who was visiting the victim’s family in Delhi or whether this was for political reasons”.
