Resistance forces capture 3 districts in Afghanistan, several Taliban fighters killed: Report

The public resistance forces under Khair Muhammad Andarabi have claimed that they captured the Pol-e-Hesar, Deh Salah and Banu districts of Afghanistan’s Baghlan from the Taliban on Friday, local reporters reported.

According to the Afghan news agency Asvaka, several Taliban fighters were injured and killed. According to sources, up to 60 Taliban fighters were injured or killed.

The resistance forces have said they are advancing to other districts as well. They said the Taliban “did not act in terms of a general amnesty”.

Pol-e-Hesar district, which was reportedly retaken by local resistance forces on Friday, is north of Kabul and is near the Panjshir Valley. It’s the Panjshir valley, from where the Afghan resistance rallies against the Taliban.

The Afghan province of Panjshir is still free from the Taliban, even if the Extremist group has taken over the country after the withdrawal of US forces. Afghanistan Former Vice President Amrulla Saleh, who claims to be the nation’s executive president, is trying to form a resistance front against the Taliban in Panjshir province.

Ahmed Massoud, son of the slain anti-Taliban leader Ahmed Shah Massoud is considered to be the commander of the resistance forces. According to some sources, Taliban officials will meet Ahmed Massoud.
