Roshan Mathew, who recently completed filming on Alia Bhatt’s Darlings, spoke about his getting into acting and love in a session titled Language no bar: What it need to be a pan India hero on India Today e-Mind Rocks zum Theater 2021. ROSHAN REVEALS HOW HE WAS CAUGHT THE ACTOR BUG
Roshan Mathew, who was last seen in Kuruthi on Amazon Prime VideoHe was always sure what he didn’t want to do. Although he enrolled for graduation from Madras Christian College (MCC), he never knew what he wanted to do later in life. Until he found a theater company at the MCC and fell in love with acting and theater. On India Today e-Mind Rocks 2021, he said, “After school, I didn’t know what to choose. But I knew what I didn’t want to do. My father works at a bank and I’ve always seen him work long hours. My mother is an engineer. I’ve seen both of them work really hard their entire lives. I knew I didn’t want to be stuck in a boring job. I thought if I ended up in a job like this I would be impossible to be happy. That’s when I signed up for MCC. I found a theater group there. “
The Koode actor finally found his calling during rehearsals. He said, “When we started rehearsing for a play, I felt really happy. The energy in the room was electrifying. Every day I felt like I wanted to work. I knew then that I would be happy if I continued like this. “
FOR ROSHAN, acting was first and foremost about making money
When Roshan auditioned for the Tanlines miniseries, he was looking for projects to make money. But when he got to the set of the show the energy was incredible. Little by little, his criteria for choosing films came to be about working with people he admires. He said, “In the beginning, I auditioned for commercials, web series, and anything else I got in my way. I signed tanlines for money. But it was lucky for me that Tanlines turned out to be a fun project. I enjoyed working in front of the camera. A few months later I landed in Kerala and auditioned for Malayalam films. “
