A Railway Protection Force (RPF) police officer received praise online after saving a woman’s life at Secunderabad train station. Union minister and MP for Secunderabad G Kishan Reddy tweeted a clip of the incident and praised the police officer for his attentive response.

The woman was trying to board a train that had just started at Secunderabad station when she slipped and fell through the gap between the platform and the train.

Dinesh Singh, an RPF constable, noticed them immediately and managed to pull them safely onto the platform. The policeman was commended for his vigilance and timely action.

The CCTV footage of the incident shows the woman running to board the train when she slips and falls. The video shows her feet getting stuck between the moving train and the platform, and she was dragged for a few seconds before the alarming constable quickly managed to get her to safety.

The incident occurred on July 30th. When the video went viral on social media, internet users praised the police officer for his brave act. Dinesh Singh also received a certificate and cash award given by railway officials.

Secunderabad Union Minister and MP G Kishan Reddy also appreciated the policeman’s timely response and tweeted, “Recommend Sri Dinesh Singh, RPF’s duty constable, who acted quickly to save the life of an elderly passenger who tried to board a moving train at #Secunderabad station. His presence of mind and physical speed saved a life for which I express my sincere appreciation (sic). “
