The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the match dates for the T20 World Cup on Tuesday, which will take place from October 17 to November 14 in the United Arab Emirates and Oman. Up to 8 teams will take part in the qualifying round, 4 of which will take part in the Super 12 stage, which starts on October 23rd.
The much anticipated India-Pakistan clash, as reported by India Today, will begin in Dubai on October 24th. Both India and arch-rival Pakistan were drawn in Group 2 of the T20 World Cup Super 12 round, which also includes Afghanistan and New Zealand as the other two automatic qualifiers.
India will then face New Zealand in Dubai on October 31, before moving to Abu Dhabi on November 3 to play Afghanistan.
India plays a total of 4 games in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi. None of their Super 12 games are scheduled in Sharjah.
Meanwhile, the Super 112’s Group 1 action begins with two heavyweight fights. South Africa and Australia kick off the Super 12 action in Abu Dhabi, followed by the replay of the 2016 T20 World Cup Final between England and the West Indies in Dubai on October 23.

The tournament begins on October 17th at 2pm local time with Round 1 of Group B between hosts Oman and Papua New Guinea, with Scotland and Bangladesh, the other teams in Group B, facing each other in the evening game at 6pm.
Ireland, the Netherlands, Sri Lanka and Namibia – making up Group A – will be in action in Abu Dhabi the next day, with round one games running through October 22nd. The top two teams in each group will enter the Super12 phase of the tournament, which begins October 23rd.

Reserve days for semifinals and finals
The first semi-final will be played in Abu Dhabi on November 10th at 6 p.m. local time. The second semi-final will be played in Dubai on November 11th. Both semifinals have reserve days.
The final one
The marquee of the tournament will take place on Sunday, November 14th at 6 p.m. local time in Dubai, with Monday serving as the reserve day for the final.
