Terrifying videos of a landslide have emerged from the Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh. No casualties have been reported yet, but officials have not yet ruled out any injuries.

The first video showed the beginning of the landslide. Massive rocks can be seen rolling down the hills as onlookers scream, “Get away, get away.”

In the second video, the landslide takes on a more severe form. You can hear some locals trying to warn people downhill to stay away from the path of the falling stones by whistling.

In the meantime, several landslides have blocked traffic in Baloth Panchayat, which is part of the Bharmour subdivision of Chamba district. As a result, many remote villages were reportedly cut off.

According to a report by the ANI news agency, locals in Chamba have appealed to the state government to build proper roads in the region so that the villages there are not disconnected from the grid during a disaster like this.

Meanwhile, Sunday’s landslide continues a series of similar incidents in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand in recent days. ON Landslide had hit Solan’s state District early Tuesday that killed one person and injured two others.

According to a report from the Solan District Emergency Operation Center (DEOC), the landslide occurred near a hotel in Sector Three in Parwanoo around 2:30 a.m., the official added.

Meanwhile, the Nahan-Kumharhatti national road was blocked due to a landslide in Sirmaur district, a civil protection official said.

The landslide occurred near Laddoo, locking the Nahan-Kumharhatti NH-907-A around 1 p.m., the official said.
