Youth Akali Dal leader Vicky Middukhera shot dead in Punjab’s Mohali

A youth leader Akali Dal was shot dead in Mohali on Saturday morning. According to the police, the shooters fired around 15 shots at Vikramjit Middukhera.

CCTV footage shows two masked men shooting youth leader Akali Dal as he sits in his car in Sector 71 of Mohali.

Young Akali Dal leader Vikramjit Singh Middukhera was shot dead by four men on Saturday in broad daylight in Mohali district of Punjab.

According to police, the incident occurred in Sector 71 of Mohali when Vikramjit aka Vicky Middukhera was at a real estate agent’s office in the area on Saturday morning. Vicky was reportedly arriving at the Mataur market and was about to be seated in his white SUV when he was attacked.

Youth leader Akali Dal is said to have walked half a kilometer after two of the attackers opened fire on him. He collapsed outside the community center in Sector 71.

Four masked men allegedly fired around 15 bullets at the student leader and fled, the police said. The incident was captured by a CCTV camera.

The police said they were scanning the video footage from the area to determine the identity of the defendant.

After the incident, SSP Satinder Singh, the DSP and Mataur SP rushed to the scene. The initial investigation into the daylight murder revealed that Vicky Middukhera had a licensed revolver in his car but had no chance of catching it.

According to the police, the body was subjected to an autopsy and the car was taken into custody. The probe is switched on.

Vicky Middukhera was former president of the Panjab University Student Organization (SOPU), Panjab University, Chandigarh.

He joined SAD’s student organization Student Organization of India (SOI). His brother Ajay Middukhera ran against the son of the former mayor of Mohali Kulwant Singh in the recent local elections.
