Reaction to former union minister Babul Supriyo joins the Trinamool Congress, West Bengal’s opposition leader (LoP) Suvendu Adhikari claimed his exit was no loss to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
However, the BJP chief stated that Asansol MP Babul Supriyo should have told the party about this before leaving.
“Babul Supriyo should have told the BJP before he left the party. His exit is no loss to the BJP. He is not a mass leader and not a good political organizer. But personally he is my good friend,” said Suvendu, the West Bengali BJP chief said Adhikari.
Babul Supriyo officially joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the presence of Abhishek Banerjee Party National Secretary General and Derek O’Brien MP, Rajya Sabha, on Saturday.
After his introduction to TMC, Babul Supriyo said, “Didi [Mamata Banerjee] and Abhishek gave me a great opportunity. Since I came to TMC, it doesn’t make sense to keep my Asansol headquarters. I got into politics because of Asansol. I will do as much as possible for this constituency. “
BJP spokesman Samik Bhattacharya meanwhile claimed that Babul Supriyo not only left the BJP but betrayed anyone in Asansol who voted him to power twice.
Samik Bhattacharya, who took a slap on the former BJP leader, said, “Babul Supriyo is working for a short time. He played soccer briefly, worked briefly at a bank, was briefly a singer and briefly was with BJP. Let’s see how long he can stay at the Trinamool Congress. “
In addition, Samik Bhattacharya asked questions about the timing of Babul Supriyo’s switch to TMC prior to the Bhabanipur poll in West Bengal.
